ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE

If someone sends a message to your employee id through CAD or I/Mobile while you are not logged in, it will save the message for you until you have fetched it and read it. This mostly applies to Law Enforcement as each officer has their own unique employee id (IE: 109, 456, 1102, etc). Fire uses generic employee ids to log in and therefore don’t use messaging for the most part, unless sending to the “Unit” (IE: E2, M71, etc).

To fetch unread messages perform the following steps:
Click on the MSG section of the top menu.
Then click on the Fetch Unread command

Note: You will need to repeat the steps above once for each unread message you have awaiting delivery.
