Kitsap 911 Benefits Package

KITSAP 911 is committed to providing eligible employees with a comprehensive benefits package designed to afford employees and their family members with financial security and peace of mind. All employees in regular positions budgeted at .50 FTE and above are eligible for KITSAP 911 benefits. Medical, vision, dental, and life insurance coverage for eligible employees and designated legal dependents begins the first day of employment/eligibility.

Our generous benefit package includes options such as:

  • Delta Incentive Dental Insurance through WFCA (100% employer paid for individual coverage)

Time Off

Vacation time off is available to full-time and part-time employees to provide opportunities for rest, relaxation, and personal pursuits. The following details the amount of leave earned, based on tenure (pro-rated for part-time employees):

0 – 3 years of employment: 80 hours per year
3 – 5 years of employment: 96 hours per year
5 – 10 years of employment: 120 hours per year
10 – 15 years of employment: 160 hours per year
More than 15 years of employment: 200 hours per year

Additionally, employees earn 96 hours of sick leave per year (pro-rated for part-time employees).

Retirement

Kitsap 911 offers Public Employee Retirement System (PERS) to all eligible employees. PERS offers two retirement plans for new employees: PERS Plan 2 and PERS Plan 3. Please refer to the plans on the drs.wa.gov website for additional information.
