The People of Kitsap 911
Today, Kitsap 911 has about 86 employees including full time, regular part-time and extra-help. Our staff includes a diverse management team, combined IT and radio technical services group, administrative group, and highly technical supervisory and dispatch personnel that manage the 24-hour, 365-day operation.
The Operations Group is the largest group at Kitsap 911. The core function of the Operations Group is to answer incoming 911 calls, determine the nature and geographic location of the emergency, enter calls for service, then dispatch those events and track the responding units. We hold citizen and responder safety as a high priority and work to ensure their welfare.
The Technology Services Group’s primary role is supporting the operation, maintenance and repair of all technology and systems in use by Kitsap 911. This includes all radio, antenna systems and supporting infrastructure as well as Information Systems, networks and facility systems. The Help Desk provides technical support to law enforcement and fire portable and mobile radios, and their mobile computer terminals.
Our Administrative Group includes three Administrative Specialists that individually focus on Human Resources, Finance, and Public Records. The Executive Assistant focuses on governance, purchasing, contracting, and project management. They are led by the Executive Director, Deputy Director, Financial Manager and Human Resources Manager.
