Jay English Takes the Helm at Kitsap 911

Kitsap 911 welcomed Jay English as the new Executive Director at Kitsap 911 on September 28, 2026. Jay brings an extensive background in public safety and 911 communications to Kitsap County's telecommunications center. He most recently worked for the federal government as a Public Safety Technology & Operations specialist and has served as a manager or director at three different 911 communications centers. Jay started his career in the United States Marine Corps and served in electronic warfare aboard EC-130H aircraft for the United States Air Force. He spent two decades as a law enforcement officer and in Fire/EMS roles, subsequently becoming an Emergency Communications Manager and Public Safety Program Manager specializing in the technology used to support public safety communications.
